Feast of the Sacred Heart Collects

This has become one of my favorite feasts. Here are comparative English collects for today. Do you think the modern one does sufficient justice to the day?

ICEL (1975)

we rejoice in the gifts of love
we have received from the heart of Jesus your Son.
Open our hearts to share his life
and continue to bless us with his love.

Traditional (Baronius Press)

O God, who in the Heart of Thy Son, wounded by our sins, dost mercifully bestow on us infinite treasures of love: grant, we beseech Thee, that whilst we render It the devout homoage of our affection, we may also fulfil our duty of worthy satisfaction.

Traditional (Anglican Breviary)

O God, who has suffered the Heart of thy Son to be wounded by our sins, and in that very Heart hast bestowed on us the abundant riches of thy love: grant that the devout homage of our hearts, which we render unto him, may of thy mercy be deemed a recompence acceptable in thy sight.
