My own little anniversary

Today, the solemnity of Mary: Mother of God, marks a little anniversary for me that most do not know. Last year, on January 1st I stepped into a Catholic church for the first time with the intention of becoming a Catholic. I had already done enough study and prayer on the matter to come to the conclusion that it was inevitable, though just about all of the work to actually come into communion needed to be done. Actually going to a mass was that first step. I was lucky enough that my fraternity brother Kevin agreed (enthusiastically) to go with me.

Anyway, I just got back from my New Year's festivities this weekend. I'll be typing to you all later.

Glad you're here among "us" and no longer there, among "them". :)
