Douay-Rheims First Communion/Confirmation Bibles

More good publishing news.  It seems we get something new to look forward to every day.

St. Benedict/TAN has let me know that they will indeed be publishing their new First Communion and Confirmation Bibles with the Douay-Rheims translation.  More information will be forthcoming on their website (and consequently here as well).   St. Benedict will be the only publisher that I know of to offer Bibles of this kind.  A while back Baronius Press released their Douay-Rheims in white which is a well known color for First Communion Bibles.  However it is not billed as a "First Communion Bible".

Given that at traditional parishes the children out number the adults by about 4 to 1, this is a very smart business move.  This is also a great boon for traditionalists who up until now were limited to modern translations for sacramental Bibles.
